Associate in Veterinary Technology Degree

Veterinary technology is one of the most popular programs at Minnesota School of Business-Rochester. Students learn skills and scientific knowledge that, with their love of animals, prepares them for rewarding careers in veterinary clinics, wildlife sanctuaries, research labs and other animal care settings. A vet tech might have the amazing experience of watching a colt take its first step or earn the gratitude of the family whom you taught to care properly for an injured dog.

Listen to a vet tech student:

I have been enrolled at Minnesota School of Business since October of 2007.  The program has very small classes.  The instructors do everything they can to answer questions the students may have or sit down and show step by step how to do a procedures. The students work togther to form a team and because they work so closely together, have become a family. ~ Emily Reed, Rochester Veterinary Technology student

A hands-on approach to learning

Students in our veterinary technology associate degree program work with animals from the beginning of the program. Before graduation, they apply their skills and knowledge in a nine-credit externship in a working veterinary setting.

Our career services department provides job search assistance, but it is not unusual for an internship to turn into a career position.
