College Degree and Diploma Programs at MSB-Rochester


Student outsideMinnesota School of Business-Rochester offers degree and diploma programs that vary in length from one to four years. Our focus, as it has been since the college was founded in 1877, is preparing students for entry into and advancement in high-value career fields.

Today, in addition to business, we provide training in information technology, legal sciences and health sciences.

Degree programs by career field

The following career fields are followed by program levels available: graduate degree (MBA, MSM), bachelor of science degree (BS), associate in applied science (AAS), diploma and certificate.

Business and accounting

  • Accounting. (BS, AAS, diploma) Preparation for certification exams and entry to mid-level corporate positions, agency work and home-based tax services
  • Business Administration. (MBA, BS, AAS) Skills for entry or advancement in any type of organization or entrepreneurial enterprise. The MBA, available through our online university, is not offered on the Rochester campus.
  • Business Administrative Assistant. (diploma) Office skills for entry-level positions in reception, bookkeeping, administration and other departments 
  • Business Management. (MSM, BS) The bachelor's degree candidates includes the following emphases: agriculture, finance, human resources, hospitality management and marketing. The Master of Science in Management (MSM) degree includes the following emphases: information technology, health care and managerial leadership. The MSM degree, available through our online university, is not offered on the Rochester campus.
  • Sales & Marketing. (AAS) A two-year program providing skills that drive growth and revenue in every type of organization 

Health Sciences

Information technology

  • Information technology. (BS, AAS) The bachelor's degree program includes emphases in networking and security and web application development. IT courses map to industry certifications.

Legal Sciences

  • Criminal Justice. (BS, AAS) Preparation for careers in law enforcement support, corrections, and the judicial system. Some states, including Minnesota, require training beyond these degrees for employment as law enforcement officers.
  • Paralegal. (BS, AAS) Graduates enjoy challenging careers in law firms, corporate legal departments and government agencies
  • Legal Administrative Assistant. Office skills and legal knowledge for positions including legal secretary and records clerk
