The college admission process
- Schedule a meeting at our Rochester campus. An admissions representative will talk with you about your interests and degree programs that will help you achieve your goals
- Complete an application form and submit with the $50 application fee
- Sign up for the Accuplacer, an assessment that will ensure you enroll in the right classes
- Meet with a financial aid counselor for information about loans and scholarships
- Attend orientation and register for classes
It’s simple, and our reps will help every step of the way. Once you’ve been admitted, you will attend orientation to get your schedule, connect with fellow students and purchase books.
Admission requirements
Requirements for admissions to MSB-Rochester are listed below. Our representative will advise you about any additional requirements for your specific program.
- Achieve a score of at least a 35 in reading comprehension and sentence skills and a 21 in arithmetic on the Accuplacer® test; or
- Provide documentation of a bachelor’s degree; or
- Provide documentation of a minimum composite score of 21 on the ACT; or
- Provide documentation of a composite SAT score of 1485 (if the SAT was taken before March 2006, provide documentation of a composite SAT score of 990)
All applicants must certify that they have received a high school diploma or earned a GED. Once accepted, they may need to take Foundations of Mathematics I and II or Fundamentals of Writing I or II, depending on their scores on the Accuplacer® tests. Admitted students must provide proof of immunization before beginning their programs.
