Military scholarships
In recognition of their sacrifices Minnesota School of Business offers three military scholarships to eligible students, including active duty military, active reserve/National Guard members, honorably discharged veterans and spouse and dependents:
Military Service Scholarship. For military personnel seriously injured in Iraq or Afghanistan and participating in the DOD’s Severely Injured Joint Operations Center, and their spouses and dependents. Awards for eligible students are based on the level of degree program in which the applicants enroll.
- Diploma program students: $1,000
- Associate degree program students: $2,500
- Bachelor’s degree program students: $5,000
Military Advantage Scholarship. Reduces quarterly tuition and the cost of books by 10% and is available to eligible military personnel and their spouses/dependents.
Purple Heart Scholarship. For service members and veterans wounded during the Gulf wars. Spouses and dependents of service members killed in action are also eligible for the scholarship. Recipients of the scholarship will be awarded an amount equal to tuition and fees remaining after federal, state, military and VA benefits are deducted from the total amount.
VA certification
GU/MSB is authorized to certify students who qualify for the Montgomery GI Bill, Active Duty/Selected Reserves, and Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance Program. It can also certify those who qualify for VA Vocational Rehabilitation.
